Strategy & UX

Hayahay Travels and Tours has an incredible range of services, but they needed a digital platform to match. I teamed up with them to move from a social-media-based setup to a full-scale professional website. As their Web Developer and Business Analyst, my job was to take a complex mix of travel logistics—everything from visa services to transport—and build a clean, seamless digital home for the brand.

Travelers aren't just looking for a plane ticket; they're looking for a stress-free trip. To help Hayahay Travels deliver that, I built a site that brings all their different services—from tricky visa consults to airport transfers and custom tours—into one easy-to-use platform.

Easy Access to Information

I moved them away from just being a social media page and gave them a high-end digital home. By focusing on a smooth mobile experience and slick animations, I made sure the tech worked just as hard as the travel agents do. For me, this project is the perfect example of how clean code and smart cloud hosting can turn a local business into a trusted professional brand.

Connected Services

I built the service cards as reusable components. If the agency wants to add something new—like Travel Insurance—they can have it live on the site in about 10 minutes. Everything is hosted on Firebase and used WebP images to keep things fast. Even if a traveler is on a spotty mobile connection at the airport, the site loads in under 2 seconds. Since most people book trips from their phones, I designed the mobile view to be just as interactive as the desktop version.

Designing for the Traveler on the Move

Most travelers aren't booking tours from a 27-inch screens—they're doing it from a phone while waiting at an airport or sitting in a café. I prioritised a Mobile-First architecture to ensure that Hayahay's complex services didn't feel cramped. The site is designed to be just as intuitive on a 5-inch screen as it is on a desktop. I also added subtle animations to make the experience feel more dynamic without overwhelming users. The goal was to create a digital space that felt as welcoming and efficient as the in-person service Hayahay Travels is known for.

From a Business Analysis perspective, mobile conversion was our biggest KPI. I designed the mobile UI to be thumb-friendly and fast. While desktop users get smooth GSAP hover effects. This means the 'Window View' activates automatically as the user scrolls, creating a 'living' portfolio that demonstrates its value without requiring a single tap.
